That one has a lot of non-stockery going on. Taller, much wider tires than what it came with, it's been converted to 4wd, and is sitting substantially higher than it would've.

Figured that much, but the body still seemed way bigger than I thought it would be.

Why were you expecting something smaller? It was a full size truck then (small trucks didn't really exist.) One thing is 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks of that era usually had 9'-9.5' beds instead of the 8' that we're used to now, so they were a bit longer.
